Contemplative (and depressed) in Maui, 2019
By all accounts, I was winning.
I had the career in tech. I had a track record of success across multiple positions and projects, and I was building momentum for more. On paper, everything was going swimmingly. But the paper didn’t tell the whole story.
Behind the résumé, I was falling apart. Physically, years of bad habits and neglect were catching up with me — low energy, chronic aches, a body that couldn't keep pace with the life I was trying to live.
Mentally and emotionally, I was carrying the weight of unresolved traumas I thought I could no longer outrun. And spiritually, I was lost. I had built my life on the altar of professional achievement, and it had proven to be a far less fulfilling god than it was cracked up to be. I looked successful. I felt empty.
In 2019, I hit a wall — hard.
What had been simmering for years finally boiled over. Depression. Chronic health issues. Spiritual isolation. For months I was stuck on the couch, unable to pick myself up the way I had so many times before. Then a line from a Robert Frost poem cut through the fog: "The only way out is through."
I didn’t have a plan, or much energy, but I had loving Father that would not let me give up.
In the years that followed, I committed myself to the deep, unglamorous work of healing, personal growth, and much-needed realignment. Faith first, then the mind, the body, and the calling — each in its turn.
And God met me. Not with a lecture , but with open arms.
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
Luke 15:20
Along the way, He revealed His wisdom and love — through His Word, His Spirit, and the natural resources that He’s provided: healthy nutrition, physical fitness, godly fellowships, and more. All of it pointed back to the same truth:
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness
2 Peter 1:3
Everything.
Pertaining to LIFE, and GODLINESS.
Our only responsibility is to use it.
I work with driven believers who are quietly stuck underneath lives that look fine from the outside — people who go to church, work hard, maybe even work out, but sense a gap between the life they're living and the life God designed them for.
The model is simple: align our life with our faith. To not practice “dead faith” (James 2:26) —the kind that only shows up Sunday, or when the weather is nice, or when the assignment is easy — but to live in dynamic faith. Mind, body, and calling all aligned in the service of God, His kingdom, and His people.
Through faith-rooted teaching, practical strategies, and real accountability, I walk with people through the same transformation God walked me through — rebuilt from the inside out, and across every part of life.
Ready to build with you!
